Cosy Cottage bed & breakfast

This is possibly the best B&B I have ever stayed in. With only 3 rentable rooms its never going to be busy. Each room is slightly different but all finished to a five star standard. I was lucky to get the room under the thatched area of the house with garden and river view whilst my colleague had a smaller room but with a roof top sun deck (note that this is also accessable from the landing area of the house). The garden also has seating and sun loungers and direct access onto the river bank. If your into walking or cycling this is a great as the route into Dendermonde is flat with plenty of cafes and pubs. We walked via the bank and its a good 2-3 hours, or about 30-60 mins on bike. Dendermonde has plenty of shops / cafes / pubs and really is a friendly place. Everyone was helpful and understanding as we struggled with Flemish. The couple that run this are very helpful and will go out of their way to ensure your stay is spot on. Note that on the web site it says they have bike to hire, we used these free of charge during our stay. Wifi is also free and works all over the house and garden. Breakfast was a good choice of breads and cheeses, meats and pates. Also cereal, fruits, yogurts and bacon and eggs. Eggs are free range as they have them in the back garden. Would love to return with my family for a weekend break.

Trotz Bestätiggung per Mail 2 Tage vorher ist niemand da, wenn wir ankommen. Nach 1 Stunde warten tun Sie so, als ob Sie nicht wissen, dass wir kommen. Zimmer und bestellte Dinge sind nicht bereit, wir sollten noch das Zimmer wechseln in 2 Tagen. Von einer Entschuldigung keine Rede. Die Vorauszahlung von € 105.-- habe Sie aber schon erhalten, und das wussten Sie sogar noch, da wir diese dann nach Aufforderung auch zurückerhalten haben. Wir haben dann kurzfristig in ein Hotel gewechselt, wo preis und Service wirklich stimmten. Fazit CosyCottage: Niemandem zu empfehlen. Eine schöne Webseite macht noch keinen guten Service
