"A very good hostel"
Large and very clean establishment... almost like a hospital. Around the corner from the red light district, but I found that out only by the red-light markers on Falconplein... no scandalous establishments close to the hotel. Not many guests since it was out of season. Very kind and helpful front desk and cleaning staff. The room was a good size for a single, with large windows and a nice view (it was an unusually sunny January day) onto a quiet street. Very clean bathroom, with 2 towels and a cake of soap. Fabulously strong and hot shower.... felt great after a long day sightseeing in the cold. Crisp and clean bed linen, but the blanket, though freshly washed, had a cigarette burn hole, and a yellow stain on it. Firm but comfortable mattress; slighly lumpy but good-sized, comfortable pillow. Breakfast was not as nice as the reviews describe. No sausages/bacon. The only hot dish was a bake of powdered eggs, which had a slightly black tinge on the inside. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay, and highly recommend it, especially for solo travellers. It doesn't have charm or romance, but satisfies all the practical requirements very well.

"Lovely"

"Good value place if a bit basic"
Not everyones's kind of place, it is quite basic but clean, and I presume all the rooms are single so will only suite a certain type of person. However if like us you went for the beer this place is only two mins walk from one of the best beer bars (Waagstuk) plus around 10-15 mins from the main areas (Catherdral etc) This is about the cheapest way to get a single room in the Centre (€45 a room) unless you stop at the Etap by the station. The #4 &7 trams stop at Klapdorp, less than 5 mins walk away, however these do not run to/from the rail station.

"Very basic, don't expect much"
I've stayed here a few times. It is off the beaten path but not too far. The Rooms are very basic and just barely clean. The hallways are very smoky and even if they say the room is non smoking it's probably only that way when you are there. Our room smelled like it had been smoked in recently. The hotel has some of the most expensive internet I've come across and it only works in the lobby. We were kept awake by drunks honking their horns for 15 seconds at a time for what seemed like hours. I don't know what was going on but it's always quite noisy late at night in this part of town. The red light district is very near. If you want cheap and basic it'll get the job done but I'll be looking elsewhere in the future for something just a bit nicer.

"Extremely good no fuzz value"
I spent a couple of days at a conference in Antwerp and found this nice hotel in a guide book from last years visit to Brugge. I had a single room with a very clean and nice bathroom. The bed had a hard mattress but I slept really good on it. (Might have been the nice beer....) Breakfast was plenty with bacon and sausages and even buns and decent coffee. Common areas felt somewhat deserted. Lost of empty floor space. Internet came for 5 euros for 8 hours which is ok since the rooms were extremely cheep.
