"An unforgetable memory"
We spent just two days in this hotel for a scientific meeting in Bruge, we absolutely loved this hotel, perfect for young couples, with an exquisite ambiance for breakfast that you would absolutely adore. The rooms were so neat and cozy. However, there was not enough room in the bath once you wanted to take a shower and the room would get a little bit wet as well. But to sum it up, it was splendid!!!

"Great location,low key friendly service"
Great location:close to all sights but not in the thick of it. Very low key but hospitable owners. Not opulent, but comfortable. Would stay there again. A place for families and friends, but probably not special romantic weekends

"Excellent Family friendly hotel in Bruges"
We have just returned from a family weekend in Bruges, staying 2 nights at the hotel. The family room was large - plenty of room for us and three children (4-8 yrs); it was also clean, quiet (it is at the back of the hotel) and beds were very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful, polite and flexible - providing us with a variety of pointers to enjoy the city, and accommodating a change of schedule regarding parking. The secure parking is nearby, a big plus in a city with variable parking. The location is excellent - a 5 minute stroll from the main square - this a big plus, as you get to enjoy the city before and after the huge number of day trippers turn up. Breakfast was very good, taken in a bright airy room, with a wide variety of options. While the hotel does not have a restaurant this was no problem - there are a wide variety of restaurants between 30 seconds and five minutes away. We used Cambrinus and the Jan van Eyck, both of which were very good. Overall the hotel, and service provided helped us enjoy the stay - we'll be back.

"Lovely hotel in centre Bruge!"
We just came back from 3 night stay at this hotel. This hotel is less than 5 mins from the market square, very central to many sights. Choco Story is just down the road around the corner. During check in, we were told of the breakfast times, given a local map, vouchers. We asked about restaurants and were told of a lot of them and he even marked them on the map for us. On first impressions, the hotel was very clean, the decor was classique, with paintings and armchairs. Our room was in another part of the building on the first floor and number 24. Overall the room was very clean, neat and the bathroom was well equipped and a comfortable size. The only thing I would say is during the night and early morning, the traffic going past can be noisy and we can hear it as the windows are single glazed. We noticed this on the first night but luckily we still slept alright through it. The breakfast was continental, with pasties, juices, fruit, yogurt, spreads and make your own toast. Tea or coffee and boiled egg is offered every morning. We liked the breakfasts and it was pleasant just to enjoy in a well relaxing dining room with nice chandelier lighting and christmas decorations. Overall I recommend this hotel as it is centrally located, clean and friendly staff. Apart from the noisy traffic due to the single glazed windows, which could be just the room we stayed in was facing the road, I cannot fault this hotel.

"Very good, central hotel in Bruges"
We have just spent a long weekend in Bruges and the Hotel Anselmus was great for us. It's very central so it's an easy walk to all of the main touristy places as well as a few more of the off beaten track bars and restaurants. Our room was totally fine and breakfasts were very good - we took up the option of the boiled egg every morning - with its big selection of cereals, breads, jams, cheese and hams. The staff were all super friendly and helpful and the discount card provided by the hotel saved us money on some of the main attractions. All in all, we'd recommend this hotel!
