"SUPER"
This little hotel has it all, nice clean & comfortable large rooms, free internet, the breakfast is absolute fine. Located at 150 m from the beautifull beach of Zeebrugge, it is an absolutly must when visiting Belgium. 15 km from Bruges, Knokke. Zeebrugge has a lot of nice restaurants offering value for money.

"Stay away ! Overbooking worst treatment ever, the rudest hotel owner and front desk individual"
Stay away ! The worst ! rudest place on earth, all about overbooking, greed and money. Hospitality zero ! I have never seen this kind of hotel owner at its worst in all my years of travel. He gets the # 1 spot along with his front desk guy another liar. We arrived to the Atlas three stars hotel in Zeebrugge my husband, my seven years old daughter and I and reserved a room for three with a double bed and an Ikea sofa that opens into a bed for my daughter. We were starving so we were indicated by the front desk a restaurant to eat diner, we also asked direction for the docks because we were shipping our car to the USA the next day. This guy at the front desk already had an attitude describing "his hotel" as the best of the three in town and bragging about never droping the rate like other hotels even in the low season because they needed every penny. The others two in town he said are the Monte Carlo and the outdated Marina hotel not as good ? We told him we were starving and he said "go to eat no problem, I will keep the room for you, you have my word". He said he was going to prepare the Ikea sofa into the bed for our child. We left and went to the recommended chichi restaurant just with the same atitude as the front desk guy from the Atlas hotel. After the diner we went to the docks to see where to drop the car but we got lost because the same front desk guy gave us the wrong directions. When we arrived at the hotel, the front door was closed, noone was there ( a ghost hotel !) and we were spoken through a speaker phone where the belgian owner told us that the hotel was full. We were standing outside in the cold (windy weather in that town near the port) exhausted and ready to go to bed. The guy had sold our room ! It was freezing, getting late and near Easter so all rooms in town were sold out. Too bad was his attitude. The owner did not even come down to talk to us to help us find another hotel,he did not care, he even hang up the speaker phone on my husband that kept telling him that it was a mistake because we had a room reserved. Protocol: They should have help us find a room in another hotel, and pay the difference to the other hotel as it is done correctly in other civilized part of the world Spain, USA etc...when you have an overbooking. God helping in our misery we ended up an hour later in Knokke-Heist the next town, very hip town where we were told rightfully so that the people of Zeebrugge were peasants and the town a hole. We got lucky finally because we would have never seen beyond that dump and we ended up in a brand new hotel LaReserve with an indoor pool ( yes it was twice the price, but worth every Euro) where the service was excellent ! And to the Atlas hotel owner who has two small children may he one day find himself in the cold in every sense of the word for what he did to our family.

"Comfy and convenient"
Stayed for two nighs on business, nice room with good internet and large TV, good selection of bars and restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly, Room was spacious and clean. Ideal for a short break or on business

"Such a great spot to unwind---we went there twice!"
Mike is a cordial host, his small hotel near the seashore is a marvelous place to visit. The rooms have all been redone but he is waiting to redo the exterior. We met a couple in the breakfast room who come annually with their family from Koln and have for decades through several owners. The tasteful rooms have muted tones, thick towels, comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and very clean. The free wifi and informative staff make for a great combo for travelers. There is free parking behind the building, good restaurants within walking distance, and a kind hotel staff. The breakfast room is cheery and the breakfast enough to hold you until late in the day. There is constant activity on the shore and great walking even in the off season. Best to have reservations. It was a great place to relax from lengthy travel. Super alternative to Brugges. Highly recommended!

"great stopover"
Arrived a day early for our ferry so decided to stay in Zebrugge. The Atlas was a great little find, close to the ferryport with clean, newly refurbished rooms. Our room was a corner one with two big windows and a huge bathroom, with loads of hot water for either a shower or bath. The breakfast buffet is continental with a huge range of food and we were also offered freshly boiled eggs. The proprietor is a very nice man who was very helpful and allowed us to leave our car in the private car park for most of the following day which we spent very enjoyably by taking the famous coastal tram into Ostend.
