Scandic Hotel Grand Place Brussels ****

If you are looking for a hotel that has helpful/friendly staff comfortable rooms, and a good location, and the price is right then look no further, having paid £72 a night including breakfast. I thought is was excellent value, The breakfast has more than the usual continental type with bacon, scrambled eggs,beans,mushrooms,fruit, juices,coffee, yoghurt toast and more.....Rooms sometimes don't have views to the outside, unless you are at the front of the hotel and most look into the atrium inside where the glass lifts are, but that is a minor point if your not spending forever in your rooms. We has 7 rooms booked in our group and only 1 had to move rooms due to having sounds from flushing toilets audible inside the room at night.

We went to Brussels for Christmas this year and decided to stay at the Scandic because of the price and location. It is a good hotel. The room was basic and clean. It was not large and the view was of a brick building next door. The breakfast was pretty basic but was included and decent. Wi-fi was included with a password given every day. Good deal and very solid hotel. The location was fantastic.

Stayed for just one night at the Scandic and would say it's an ideal hotel in a central location. Just a few minutes walk from Central station and a 5 minute walk to Grand Place. The rooms are not very big but have everything you need for a short stay and breakfast is self service with a mixture of hot and cold food available. I would definitely use this hotel again.

We stayed here for one night. Swift , friendly and professional help at reception. Rather small room ( don't know if this had something to do with the fact we booked through booking.com ? ) but perfectly clean. Really comfortable beds. View of the inner courtyard wasn't particularly pleasant but then again not so important. Barpersonnel that particular evening was very unattentive and didn't seem to like his work very much. Breakfast at Scandic is a real treat! One of the best breakfasts I had in any hotel. Locked parking at Grote Markt ( max. 5 minutes ) walk is a good choice if you come by car. Famous brasserie / café Mort Subite is just across the corner as is Sterling Books , a very well equipped english bookstore.

This upper class hotel is excellent, especially with the weekend price. I stayed for one night while waiting for my flight the next day. Very class hotel, for the price i paid. I have noting to complain. The staff at the reception desk was very nice and helpful. It's very close to the central station, an easy 5 minutes walk. The room is nicely designed and very simple yet elegant. The Bathroom is big for European standard.
