Het hotel is oke, ontbijt oke,kleine kamers, enkel glas, verwarming was kapot, spiegelverlichting ook, geen badjas/slippers, wilde ons ook nog laten betalen voor wifi, alle drankjes uit de minibar vanaf 5 Euro.Maar wat een nachtmerrie om er te komen, rondom het hotel word alleen maar ge/verbouwd,straten zijn afgesloten of opengebroken, we hebben over de laatste 500 m, 1,5 uur gedaan. toen eindelijk bij de receptie aangekomen, kregen we een uitleg(met foto's, dus ben waarschijnlijk niet de enige), hoe we aan de achterkant konden komen bij de prive parkeerplaats van het hotel. Dit koste weer een uur( en toch ook goede navigatie),maar bij de uitleg van het hotel, vergeten ze, dat ook hier een paar straten inmiddels gesloten zijn!!!!! Om 15.00 u waren we vlakbij het hotel en konden dus pas om 18.00 u de stad in! Dus weg middagje Leuven! Het hotel zou mensen heel veel moeite kunnen besparen, als je hebt gereserveerd, om even een korte mail te sturen,hoe je er het snelst kan komen en waarschuwen, dat vele wegen zijn afgesloten,rondom het hotel!

I agree with the previous review. We got married at the hotel in 2004. All our guests stayed in the hotel and everyone loved it. We went back this weekend and we were slightly disappointed. The hotel still looks OK but on closer inspection, it needs a thorough spruce up: limescale in the bathrooms, rusty taps, streaked skiting bords. It just all looks a bit tired. Maybe the plan is to do up the old bit, once the new wing is done but then who would want to stay in the new wing. Is not the reason for staying there, that you stay in a historic hotel. They seems to be aiminig more at the business market. Still the breakfast was top notch and service good. I would still stay there again.

We enjoyed this hotel-loved walking down the cobblestone lane, beautiful antique style, comfortable beds and delicious breakfast! All right in the town center-away from the rowdy students but close to the historic sites. lovely!!!

The location of the hotel is perfect: smack in the middle of the town in a beautiful historical building. It is quiet and peaceful. However, many things did not live up to our expectation: the room was small and not very inviting. The cupboard was damaged, infiltration of water in the room, safe not working, chipped bath, lid of waste basket was not attached, toilet paper had been wet and dried, hole in the wall, etc. etc. This is no 4 star quality. On top the parking (for a fee) is a disaster to get to (get the key first, back out of the street, down the road, in the back, lack of space,...). The garden is not well kept and not in line with the historical building. Everything comes with an extra, even WiFi comes with a fee! The staff is young and inexperienced and lacks the qualities one could expect in a hotel of this price and category.

We loved the spacious room and amenities at this hotel. The room was very comfortable, tastefully decorated and quiet. The staff were efficient and helpful. a A little expensive however a welcomed addition to our trip to Belgium.
