We stayed here on an adhoc visit. Having a 1 year old child with us, we weren't happy to stay in a room with a very amorous & vocal couple next door so my wife requested a move from the man on reception. She was then met with Bernard Manning-esque sexism and a refusal to move us because "they'll be finished in an hour or so". I went down and he moved us. No apology and no contrition, and that's when it took 5 minutes for him to come away from chatting with his friends. What else....spiral stairway has chunks of tile coming away, and a dangling metal rod that looks like it could come away at any minute, especially if grabbed for support. Baby facilities were Victorian, and the price was far too much for a hotel that's more basic than a Travelodge. Best avoided. There's plenty of competition.

I came to this hotel a little over 15 years ago when it just opened. The experience at that time was great. Sure the hotel was new, but overall the service was great. Now, it is beautiful at first sight, until you start to "experience" your stay there. The room is large, but without airco. Now, you might think you don't need it in Belgium, well, think again, even with an outside temp. of 20 Celcius, it was stinking hot in the room and the halls. The rooms are without any character, the toilet flush piece kept falling off the wall straight into your feces, nice! The electricity plug came out of the wall when I pulled out the hairdryer, etc... Swimming pool is small and even though the water is cold, the covered area is hot. The jacuzzi was loaded with chlorine that I could not keep my eyes open as it stung my eyes badly, and I just walking by to the sauna. Sauna was functioning but super small. The gym is a complete disaster, I would suggest if you have a gym that have maybe 4 functional machines, in stead of 10 disasters to happen. Spent about 10 minutes setting up the spinning bikes, and still could not get a decent ride. Safe yourself the hussle, give up working out here or head outside ... way better use of your time. Breakfast is great though, the lady who runs it is really nice. She has been there for all those years as I still remember her. Breakfast quality is good, just a lack of fresh fruit, orange to squiz juice from (do-it-yourself) is the only fruit available. Otherwise great choice of bread! Front desk, nothing special, you get the key when you arrive and pay when you leave. Don't expect a question from them "Did you have a pleasant stay?" ... no, none of that ... dry and boring attitude. Overall not a great experience, the location is great and breakfast is good ... otherwise kind of sad.

J'ai passé un très bon séjours dans cet hotel, nous avons occupé 2 chambres, rien à dire de ce côté. Le petit déjeuner buffet est très varié et très copieux, rien ne manquait et pourtant l'hotel était complet. Le passage par la talgo est un vrai moment de bonheur, le personnel est supe sympa et disponible. Côté piscine, ça demande un peu d'investissement pour la rénover, le tapis du snooker demanderait un remplacement ainsi que les raquettes de ping-pong. Je ne suis pas allé voir du côté de la salle de fitness. Il y a le Wi-Fi dans les chambre mais payant, hélas

NOUS VENONS DE PASSER 2NUITS DANS CET HOTEL(3ETOILES....) salle de déjeuner enfumée, machine à café hors service, jacuzzi en panne, raquettes de ping pong détériorées proche d une planche à tartiner, baby foot sans poignée à 1euro la partie, salle de fitness en bout de vie(même à la mort!!!!!) seul un vélo fonctionnait sur 8 MACHINES, cet établissement mérite donc 1étoile pour la qualité du petit déjeuner LE PARKING GRATUIT ETAIT BLINDE ET POURTANT LES PLACES SONT TRES TRES ETROITES!!!!! ET CE POUR 157EUROS LA NUITEE POUR 2ADULTES ET 1ENFANT
