Corbie Geel ***

A freshly renovated hotel. Good rooms, clean. The real problem is that you can hear all what happens in the hotel (not only in the room just next to yours....). The breakfast offer is high standard. The general atmosphere is quite cold. But I'm a South-of-Europe guy.... I suspect you can find better for the same price. When I tempted to use hot water only, I heard the noice of a gun... Then I could understand what were all these strange rumors which started waking me up since around 6 o'clock... But if you mix cold and hot water, it stops :-)

I was pleasantly surprised with the standard of this hotel as the website didn't seem up to much. The hotel is very modern and clean. The rooms are a bit sparce but functional. Free internet (not WIFI but they will lend you the cable), complimentary breakfast and mini bar. The receptionist was very friendly and spoke excellent English. Breakfast had a good selection. Overall very good value for money. The big draw back was the large church nearby. I think the bells chimed every hour and half hour all night. The hall ways have hard floors so this makes sound echo badly from other guests and at breakfast.

This is a well positioned hotel in the centre of Geel and is close to good restaurants and pubs. The staff are very friendly and courteous. On the negative side, the hotel is ultra warm during the summer time as there is no aircon. It is also very VERY noisy.... Be prepared to be awoken by other guests.

Stayed a Saturday night. Parking was easy to find and conveniently situated in the basement. Reception wasn't manned but someone arrived very promptly after I had used the phone on the reception desk. Rooom and bathroom were both very good for a 'budget' hotel. All facilities were included in the price eg minibar, bathroom toiletries, tv, internet use, parking and a breakfast which offered a great selection of items. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Be mindful of the church bells tolling from 5am onwards on the Sunday morning. My window was open as it had been so hot but even ear plugs couldn't drown the noise. Of course, one can't blame the hotel for this!

this hotel was booked by my company for my trip to Belgium Olen office.This is a 3 star hotel. in market square location. A picturesque location with a big church beside. There are normal hotel rooms and studio appartment rooms.Studio appartment rooms have great cooking facilities with all the utensils.each room has mini bar, which is an added attraction with belgian Beer and chokolate.the staffs are very friendly.If cleanliness is a standard, this hotel is an above standard.I have stayed in more costlier hotel around the world. But The interior design & room design is the best one i have ever seen. The morning buffet breakfast is the added attraction with great belgium foods like chokolate mussue,Corrosaint etc.The owner,staff and ambience will feel you at home.Thanks Corbie hotel to make me feel at home when i was away from my motherland India.
