"aanrader !"

"zeer net hotel voor touristen"
Keuken geopend van 1800 tot 1900 hierna kleine kaart, voor werkvolk geen aanrader. Van Maandag t/m Vrijdag gaat de bar om 2100 uur dicht tenzij de vriend van de uitbaatster aanwezig is dan sluit de bar eerder. Uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet vanaf 700 uur vanwege de bakker is het niet mogelijk om eerder te ontbijten. Plus punt de frietkot is aan de overkant

"shambles"
not clean, broken mirror and window in room dirty shower in en-suite, and bed bugs were an extra bonus! cheap breakfast and dinner not much better this place needs a good kick up the posterior staff rude and miserable

"Weekend Break To Attend Annual Diksmuide Beer Festival"
A really nice family run Hotel. Operates primarily as a Restaurant but has several letting bedrooms. Our room was on the first floor and it was very clean and spacious, a very large Double and Single bed in our room. Very nice en-suite also!! The staff were extremely helpful and spoke excellent english, the quality of the food served was first class, I'd highly recommend the steak, it was truly cooked to perfection. Although quite a small town, plent to see and do and there were enough bars about to keep us entertained - all and all a brilliant weekend!!!

"Welcoming, Pleasant, Efficient, Good Food"
I stayed here with a group over three days. The welcome was first class and the English was excelllent, well spoken by intelligent staff (family run, I think) clearly keen to deliver good value and good service. The range of food was good and well prepared and the hotel was spotless. It is traditional (rather than old-fashioned) with various extensions built on behind the Flemish-style (presumably dating from after WW1) facade that faces the market square but with modern rooms at the back. It is very pleasant to sit at the front in the covered area with a Hommelbier or a coffee watching the world pass by. Despite being in the centre of a busy (but small) town, nobody complained of noise. Rooms were very clean and everything worked (apart from one light bulb - replaced). Diksmuide is in easy reach of Ieper/Ypres (30 minutes easy drive and less to areas such as Langemarck, Pilkem and Boezinge) and has attractions of its own such as the Trench of Death (Dodengang) and the Ijzer Tower (Ijzertoren) that dominates the surrounding countryside with spectacular views and interesting displays despite its rather forbidding appearance. This is not the Savoy or the Ritz (thank goodness) but it is a good straightforward hotel well run by people who are pleased to see you.
