De Watermolen ***

Wij verbleven afgelopen woensdag en donderdag in dit hotel. Eerste indruk is zeer positief, vriendelijke ontvangst, mooie, zeer ruime kamers. De kamers die wij betrokken (eerste verdieping boven het zwembad) waren zeer warm (tot 30°). De ventilator aanwezig op de kamer was zeer welkom, maar niet genoeg om voor voldoende afkoeling te zorgen. Waarschijnlijk zijn deze benauwende temperaturen afkomstig van het onderliggende zwembad (onvoldoende vloerisolatie?). De minigolf is gewoonweg versleten. De banen zijn kapot, vuil, niet onderhouden. Toch wordt er 3euro/pp gerekend. Het ontbijt was verzorgd, maar zeer basic. De grill op woensdagavond was ondermaats, en prijs/kwaliteit bekeken zeer prijzig, nl. 27 euro voor worst, spek en garnaalspies, dit was echt te grootste tegenvaller. Samengevat: de verhouding prijs/kwaliteit klopt niet, voor ons dus niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

net terug van 'n 4-daagse. 1ste indruk : we zitten ergens in 't zuiden... vriendelijk onthaal, prima ligging, schitterend uitzicht en de kamers mooi verzorgd. vele mogelijkheden ook voor kinderen. het eten is vrij basic maar lekker. het ontbijt is ok, maar velen mankeerden 'n lekker eitje erbij.. mag je toch verwachten voor zo'n hotel. kortom: een aanrader in 't gastvrije Limburg ! toch 1 minpuntje : de bediening (terras) vlot niet te best, soms lang wachten, veel vergissingen. maar vooral : de prijzen voor kleine snacks (broodjes..) is buitensporig vb: 5,80 eur vr 1 klein broodje (recuperatie van ontbijt) met blaadje sla & halve tomaat.. spijtig !! niet echt goedkoop dit hotel maar toch blijft 't een leuke ervaring. groetjes, Vinc.

I have stayed at this hotel on three occasions, both with family and solo. The kids loved the amenities swings, ten pin bowling, minigolf and snooker tables - when at the hotel they weren't bored. The adults enjoined the lovely tranquility, the great walks in the countryside surrounding the hotel If you wanted a drink and a stroll, the village bars are only 2 minutes walk away. 5 minutes drive gets you into the centre of Bree a great little town full of character. Germany is only 20 minutes drive away and Holland only ten muinutes away. The historic town ocf Maaseik is also only 10 minutes by car. Venlo, Eindhoven, Masstricht, Genk and Hasselt are all within very easy striking distance. The area is great for cycling, walking and fishing. Food at the hotel is very good, their steakls and mussells are delicious. When I visit family in the region I always use this hotel and have not disappointed. Oh and it has web access in the rooms.

I've have stayed at this hotel many times on business and pleasure and have always enjoyed my stays. The hotel is off the beaten path and is very quant with the original water wheel still in place. The hotel has an indoor pool, sauna, and exercise area; a playground outside for children and 11 fishing ponds on the property (the playground for adults I presume). If you don't have your fishing gear with you, the hotel has rods and reels plus fishing bait available. The hotel restaurant is wonderful with a variety of fish, game, and domestic meats on the menu. Diners have a choice of several sauces to pair with any of the meats which makes for a large selection of options. I will defintely stay there again on my next visit to the area.

Ce serait un très bon hôtel où passer quelques jours avec vos jeunes enfants. Beaucoup d'espace à l'extérieur et à l'intérieur pour jouer et faire du bruit sans énerver les adultes. Voir l'avis précédent pour un aperçu des facilités disponibles. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables mais sans luxe. La nôtre a coûté €100, petit-déjeuner compris (lequel était plutôt médiocre quant au choix de nourriture). Le restaurant a plutôt l'allure d'une cantine et accueille des groupes. Nous avons mangé des truites (pêchées dans les étangs de l'hôtel) qui étaient énormes et succulentes. Une cuisine franche et honnête, sans recherche, portions généreuses. Garage spécial pour vélos.
