"We meet again"
This was the 5 or 6 time we have been here, again it was excellent.Room large ,bed comfy very clean and staff very helpful .Food is excellent the slightly smoked pork steak in a creamy sauce is fantastic. A choice of 16 or 18 beers I thought I was in heaven Thank you for making our stay so wonderfull. We shall return

"Fantastic Hotel"
Six of us stayed in this hotel from 11th February 2012 through to the 13th (2 nights). We found the rooms very well equiped, although there was no tea/coffee making equipment, but we did not find that a problem. Beds were very comfortable and the staff very very polite and we feel that that you would go a long way to find a better hotel. Breakfast was very good and we ate in the hotel on our first night and the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced, good choice of Belgium beers and great grounds, although at the time we stayed it was around -5 degrees, during the day, so you need to wrap up warm. Next door is a very interesting museum run by a very welcoming and helpful couple. This hotel is situated very well for visiting the War Graves and the Menin Gate is well worth seeing especially at 8pm every night for the 'Last Post', very moving! All in all we could not fault this hotel in anyway and we wished we had stayed longer. We will definately use this hotel again should we ever go back, which is a possiblity. Huge car park. "Excellent"
We spent here five nights and regretted leaving! The location is great for exploring the area of West Flanders and Northern France - equally close to Brugge, Lille, Tournai, St-Omer and other interesting places oth in France and in Belgium. The room was very large and comfortable, heated as much as we wanted to, Wi-Fi free in the room, and good breakfast - all in a reasonable price. Very much recommended!

"Excellent Hotel"
We ended our two week European vacation with a two night stay at this hotel. Very well kept up property. So much history of WWI on the grounds of the hotel. Each morning we woke up to a good breakfast. We had one dinner in the beautifully appointed dining room. Very good steak dinner. Would highly recommend this hotel to couples traveling through the area.

"Great hotel, just slightly let down by mediocre service."
A very good hotel, especially if you are visiting for the purpose of touring the Salient region and commemorating the 1st World War. The grounds are incredible with actual trenches used in the war in the garden. There are plaques in the grounds explaining about the battle that happened outside your window! Rooms are of an okay standard and spotlessly clean. However the shower did not work correctly and constantly flitted between too hot and too cold. The only thing that I would say that could of been better was the service from the staff. Although polite, they were not very forthcoming or friendly and showed little if no interest in the reasons for our stay. Also they showed little interest in the shower when it was mentioned. Breakfast was also a little bland with just a small continental offering. For the price we paid (115 Euro per night) I would of expected better. Although the grounds made up for it.
