"About Manoir Ogygia & me"
I loved this place. Very nice room, all rooms are different. And they all have yacuzi or rain showers or ... It is awesome to stay here. Lovely full breakfast. We stopped here on November 11th, when we remeber the Great War (World War 1) and when there are a lot of visitors in the region. But here, we felt the peace and quit we also needed. We will come back again, and have diner here !!!

"It's a hidden gem"
In this hotel you feel as if you have landed in paradise: the service is great, the rooms are large, clean and wonderfully decorated and the breakfast is fantastic. We haven't tried diner. Poperinge is only a very small town but ideally located if you want to combine it with a visit to Ieper or the Belgian coast.

"Stay in this romantic place, enjoy a very nice diner..."
Nice and romantic place to stay. We took a special arrangement and really enjoyed the relaxing room with Jacuzzi as well as the relaxing area put at our disposal only (sauna, Jacuzzi, nice breakfast…) during three hours. The evening diner was superb, nice food, original presentation, timely served with smile and clear explanations, wine à volonté. To close the diner, very original and inspiring choice of coffees and thees from all around the world, all described on a special menu. However, for this level of accommodation we missed in our room a thee/coffee set (thee was charged 2€ in the mini-bar prices list but as there was nothing to prepare it, hard to see how to get any… room service maybe ?) as well as slippers, notably as the Jacuzzi is in the same room. Overall, nice and romantic place to stay, minor problems easy to be addressed by the management.

"a true gem - well hidden and most enjoyable"
We have already stayed 4 times in this beautifull manoir Ogygia. Each time it was a real pleasure ! The owners are very warm and welcoming people, proud to share their love of beauty with you. They build and decorated the manoir with true sense of style. The homy-cosy feel is really relaxing, the wellness very enjoyable and please take the time to try out the massages here, 2 hours of pure pleasure ! We are returning soon - it is the ideal break in our own country - and will also try out the new "table d'hotes" service in the main castle that looks like it is a true gem also - very english style cottage with lots of candles and refined details.

"Fabulous"
Our group stayed in 6 of the rooms here for the hop festival in September 2008 (2 nights). It was wonderful! The hotel is a short walk from the town square and about a 10 minute walk from the train station. You can make it walking with wheeled bags, just be sure you get directions as streets can be confusing. The hotel is brand new, each room has something special. Our room had a jet shower and double sinks. It also had a spiral staircase where there was another bed and a sink/toilet. Some of our group had hot tubs. Everything is very clean. The beautiful grounds of the hotel feature a little trail with trees named (lots of Buckeye trees), grazing rabbits, and chickens in a pen. Outdoor furniture and decor promote a feeling of calm. The owners live next door, but there are spa facilities there also. My husband had a wonderful massage. Breakfast has everything, including made to order eggs and bacon. We wished we had more time to spend here. The town of Poperinge was lovely during the hop festival; there is a very nice park near the hotel.
