Marion **

"best beer bottles"
hotel twin rooms are cramped , possibly started as single rooms , then had another bed within, due for renovation this year , rooms will be redesigned as they were originally intended , new facilities to be added.... prices will no doubt reflect the changes ? good food restaurant ,380 plus beers to choose from ,well worth a visit for this reason alone , busy place at weekend , full of visitors and beer cogniseurs searching for that new taste , hotel guests seem to get preference , 2nd only to the locals , visitors wait as the place is so popular and busy , patience is worth it .... ideally suited for beach and rail stations , once the rooms are finished this yer 2012 the place will become a classic stopover

"Do you love your beer?"
Myself and my friends come to the Hotel Marion on a regular basis. The rooms are fairly basic ( I have never stayed in the so-called superior rooms) but clean. The breakfast is adequate and plentiful. The hotel is fairly central and, in my experience, the rooms are quiet. BUT the real joy of this place is the bar! Over 300 beers, knowledgeable and friendly bar staff - in short a beer drinkers paradise and then a short trip in the lift to beddybyes! Get yourself the thick book "All Belgian Beers" (usually obtainable in one of Ostend's book shops), sit in the bar and try some of the esoteric gueuzes and lambics, powerful abbey and trappiste beers.... I could go on....and mark them off in the space provided in your recently purchased beer book. Yes, I suppose I am a bit of a beer crank - but it sure beats train spotting!

"Smells smoke"
Friendly staff but the room was so small and its smells smoke and cheap cleaning products so you almost can't breath. Very uncomfortable bed and smelly pillows. The breakfast were included and were really good. very cheap and you get what you pay for.

"disgusting"
last minute transfer by Diamond coaches as the hotel we should have stayed in the Royal Astor had overbooked. Don't stay here its horrible, stains on ceiling, holes in ceiling, table bolted to wall opposite toilet, smelly couldn't leave window open as generator going all night outside window, holes in sheet, marks on walls and grime on skirting boards have never stayed anywhere like it. One night was enough.

"dirty and smelly"
