Memlinc Palace ****

hadden een suite geboekt met zeezicht.. maar niet gekregen. in plaats ervan kregen wij een appartement..die !! in een supper verouderde en muffe toestand verkeerde. maar!!! het ergste was de slaapkamer ! we lagen net in het funerarium.(slapend opgebaard).met paarse gordijnen , kussens en bedovertrek..!.het bed stond tussen de 2 muren ingesloten..zodat wij langs het voeteinde het bed in moesten kruipen...vreselijk !!! gelukkig voor 1 overnachting..want na het zeer erg sobere ontbijt...waar we ook nog eerst 10 min voor moesten wachten op de gang..vanwege gebrek aan ontbijttafels....komen wij zeer zeker nooit meer naar dit hotel terug!

Over all not a bad hotel, 100 m to the beach, comfortable room but request a room over looking the ocean (we looked out over the very tight parking lot) Rooms are a little dated, but your are partly paying for location. Would stay there again.

messages by phone to the guests are not passed. in the lobby the receptionist put the speaker on (very load) so everyone could hear the reservations, name and date and....creditcardnumber, security-number, name on the card and validity date...It was repeated several times for the audience...! The poor lady on the phone had no idea she was given all her creditcard information for an audience...

I went on a three day trip with my 12year old niece. We booked one of the renovated Seaview rooms. Upon arrival, clumsy parking service and very dated back entrance to the hotel, so it was clear to us that there is still a lot of renovating to be done here. But we got the renovated room we booked, everything absolutely as on the picture and with a frontal and wide sea view. As the weather during our stay was only good for a day, we enjoyed our breakfast and late evenings by our seaview window in our room. The staff is really very kind and considerate, as my niece has diabetes and I requested an adapted breakfast, they took care of it as promised as soon as we told our room number. She really got a fresh and adapted and varied breakfast to her needs, every morning, in the room as well as in the breakfast lounge. The hotels restaurant is also renovated and provides fine traditional cuisine which we appreciated. Yes, it is an older hotel, renovating is still needed but we got value for our money and were not promised anything we did not get. We enjoyed our stay here.
