Messeyne ****

Stayed here in April with my wife and daughter, the hotel is well situated near the centre and parking is free and close by. We had room 3, a deluxe room and i must say apart from a few ants it was superb with a lovely balcony and view of garden. Staff were all really polite and helpful. The day we arrived there was some sort of family get together in the bar, it looked like locals and was mainly families the only problem i had is that many of them were smoking flat out inside which turned the downstairs into a sort of opium den. We asked the lady behind the desk if we could get a drink but she advised us against it as it was a bit roofed out! I didnt fancy taking our daughter into the smoke house anyway so the staff member suggested the sister hotel about 100m down the road. So we had a look and found it however the door was locked and there was no sign of any staff or customers, i assume the were all in a smoking room somewhere! Anyway we went into town and had an enjoyable night. Breakfast is okay but nothing earth shattering. All in all its a lovely place with great staff. I tought smoking in public was banned in Belgium but maybe im wrong. I would return to the hotel but id check the smoking policy first. If you are a smoker get there and enjoy.

My favourite hotel, Stylish, comfortable, friendly and efficient. It is managed and staffed by professionals at every level. This is not a place where you se a new face every visit. The staff must like to be there. I have stayed in The Messeyne many times on business trips and for pleasure. The last visit was earlier this month, and it was perfect as usual. The restaurant is outstanding. We did a family trip to The Messeyne to celabrate my wife's birthday in December 2011. Four generations of my family - aged from 3years to 81 years had a most fantastic weekend - and don't forget, it was December! It's a boutique hotel with a warm family feeling.

Good parking and very friendly service, and really good food. The design and decor is outstanding, but unfortunately done with less expensive DIY materials, so this lets down the hotel a bit. My stay was very comfortable, and I would return. Wifi worked fine but was too weak - needs improving.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is well decorated, the staff is perfect as well as the location. There is free parking and the rooms are conveniënt with good beds.
