Serwir ****

Staff were helpful and pleasant, apart from Breakfast lady, who made me feel that she was having a bad week breakfast somewhat average or below, rooms trying to be modern in their decor but somehow still have that dark old fashioned feel. Bathrooms better designed with good showers and facilites, however most unpleasant smell in my room from the drains or something. So not as impressed as some of the other reviewers were.

I had a great stay in Serwir Hotel. They renovated the hotel & I had the opportunity to sleep in one of the renovated rooms (they give me a free upgrade to a deluxe room). The renovated room is great: beautiful bathroom with rainshower, minibar, save, .... Nice lobby, bar & restaurant!!! I had the same experience as Mr. Dewilde. The rate in Ibis was higher (breakfast, parking, ....). I was used to go to Ibis, but after His review, I decided to go to Serwir Hotel.

This hotel is situated on the outskirts of Sint-Niklaas. You should definitely come by car if you plan to stay here. It's close to the highway, so a good location if you're on a road trip. There's ample free parking space available on the hotel premises. Hotel interior looks rather dated, especially the elevators. The rooms themselves were pretty OK, although noise from the hall was a bit of an issue. Free wi-fi available, which is always nice (good speed as well). Breakfast was brilliant, lots of nice options available so certainly a good start of the day. I did find the prices rather high, though. One night in a standard room was 100+ euros; I would only come again if the price was right.

This hotel is very well situated for people travelling or having business matters in the larger area of St-Niklaas. It is situated outside of the very city centre, so a car is really to be recommended. The hotel is clean, modern and well kept. It is not topclass, but excellent for its category. The restaurant is reasonable and so are the meeting rooms. We found the staff not to be always the most helpful, but their workload might be the reason for this.

I made my reservation in this hotel thanks to the recommendation in Auberge du Pêcheur in Sint-Martens-Latem (seems to be the same owner) where I stayed with my wife (Best Stay Ever)! The hotel was extremely good thanks due the restaurant, bar, renovated rooms & location of the hotel (free parking) We had dinner with a small group of 8 & the quality of the food was super and the offer of wines was realy large! The Barkeeper invited us afterwards in the bar for a drink and started with a typical beer of Belgium! I slept in one of the renovated rooms. It was nice to remark that the hotel invested in high quality products and the rooms were specious! Nice bathroom!!! At the opposite of the hotel is a shopping center! I forgot a pair of socks at my place, but it was just 2 minutes from the hotel to find new!!!! Everything is in the shopping (Delaize, Vandenborre, Standaard, ....) and was open until 20 o'clock. Below are some questions concerning the facilities! I selected Fitness, Swimming Pool & Wellness! It's not in the hotel, but guests of the hotel have special prices. The Pool was next to the hotel, fitness just 5 minutes & my colleague went to the Wellness (a luxery car picked him up at the hotel and bring him back)!!!
